Abstract

A small scale survey was conducted among the 17-50 year old male and female individuals living in the state of Madhya Pradesh to understand the level of awareness about mental health and suicide. In order to work towards awareness for the same, it is imperative to understand the people’s belief on myths and facts related the subject.

Thus, the objective of the survey was to understand people’s view about mental health and to analyze how many suicide-related myths could be decoded. Therefore the form was divided into two parts, the first being general mental health awareness and the second being suicide related myths.

Data was collected through an online form and through paper based forms.

The survey was taken by 1,659 individuals.

The survey was designed and conducted by Ms. Aparajitha Chan
